COMMUNITY HEALTH & DISABILITY FORUM – Update of information and issues relevant to the people of Porirua. Held on the second Friday of each month at 12.30pm. Next forum will be held on Friday,9th November 2007 at Pataka, 12 noon Cnr Norrie & Parumoana Streets. (Parking next to Harvey Norman)

Guest Speakers: Jenny Lester, Ray Ropata & Team - Alcohol & Drugs Cluster.

Also the forum will discuss feedback from the Porirua Disability Group to the Porirua City Centre Revitalisation.

PANDEMIC: ARE YOU PREPARED?

HeHa (Healthy Eating Healthy Action)

HeHa Porirua is a new Brand, featuring the active kiwifruit, that aims to get people in Porirua thinking and doing more about being physically active and maintaining good nutrition.

HeHa Porirua is made up of local Passionate Providers who share a common goal in creating better physical activity and nutritional health outcomes for their clients and communities. The group make up allows them to work at all levels, from grassroots through to Strategic Policy.

The group is not exclusive and any organisations who share the same vision and goal can contact the HEHA Coordinator or 237 8125 for further information.

PUSH PLAY PORIRUA RESOURCE –

The HeHa group has released a new “Push Play Porirua” resource to inform people on the various physical activities happening in Porirua.

Activities range from no cost to a small charge.
